Reference Udder Gallery
Last Updated: 2-11-11
In an ongoing attempt to improve my herd I have chosen to keep an udder gallery of our does from their current freshenings on. If I have past udder photos of a given doe I will post those as well. This is strictly for my personal use and used to help evaluate my herd.
This page will be under construction throughout 2008 as I get pictures of my does udders and add them. This will be the first year we see many of our doe's udders and many will be first fresheners as well. Thank for looking! Hope we both learn something from it. ;~)
Please note that all pictures were cropped to make them more easily compared to other photos. None were stretched, distorted or altered in any way.

SGM AZ Danse The Cha-Cha Cha-Cha's first freshening looks remarkably like her dam's udder. Hopefully she'll gain a bit more height than her dam had in the rear udder, otherwise she has a gorgeous udder! |

SOLD Cha-Cha was sold after her second freshening and wouldn't you know it, she FINALLY got the capacity I knew she was capable of with her 3rd freshening when she finally had more than a single kid. |
|
SGM BV Forget-Me-Not Nottie's first freshening was an improvement over her dam. She gained the capacity her dam lacked as a first freshener as well as longer teats. Unfortunately those teats were still too small for me and my temperamental hands. So she was sold. |

SOLD No further photos. Nottie was a big improvement over her dam and her teats were much larger. However her teats were still just a bit on the small side. Much nicer shape to her udder and attachments. |

Second photos coming soon! She's due in late March '11. |

SGM PTC Guinevere Little bottle baby Gwen. She just blew my expectations out of the water. I'm thrilled with how she's freshened! She's one heck of a milker too! |
![]() Gwen's first freshening. |
![]() Gwen's second freshening. |
SOLD Gwen just exceeds expectations when it comes to her udder. What a foreudder! No other goat has come close to that length and blending that Gwen has. We have retained a daughter from her in hopes of better teat placement and have let her move on to a new herd. |

SGM R Chamber of Secrets Secrets is another doe I don't get along with quite so well. I had the same issue with her dam. She's a beautiful doe with a lovely udder. She has a greatly improved rear udder view over her dam without sacrificing her side view. |
![]() Secrets' first freshening. |
![]() ![]() Secrets' second freshening. |
![]() Secrets' third freshening. |
SOLD Secrets has been sold. She is timid so I am selling some of the timid does. |
|
SGM R Ravenclaw Beautiful doe with a beautiful udder. Would like to see slightly softer texture but she is beautifully blended and has excellent teat size and orifices. |

![]() ![]() Raven's second freshening. |
![]() Raven's third freshening. |
SOLD Raven has been sold. She is timid so I am selling some of the timid does. |
|
SGM RB Patience Beautiful doe coming along nearly identical to her dam. I am anxious to see her second freshening! |
![]() ![]() Patience's first freshening. |
SOLD Patience has been sold. Her teats were further out placed and she lacked the medial ligmanent. |

SGM S Hallelujah Hallelujah looks remarkably like her dam Faith. She has the same overall appearance, teat placement and texture. Hallelujah is a good milker and extremely well behaved on the milk stand. |

![]() Hallelujah's third freshening. |
SOLD Hallelujah has been sold. Very beautiful doe reminding me a lot of her dam. Lovely productive udder. |

SGM S Mariposa Mariposa's first freshening was early and resulted in an unattended birth where all three of her triplet does were dead. We were devastated. We felt her early delivery was due to a calcium definicency so we dried her off immediately. The first photo shows her udder at that time. Mariposa's second freshening was a beautiful udder and huge easy to milk teats. Lovely milker! |

SOLD Mariposa
has huge easy to milk teats. I am thrilled with her udder. If her
personality was a lot better she'd be a permanent fixture here. However
she and I don't seem to get along that well even though she was a
model milker and well behaved on the stand. Hoping to bring a
daughter back in the future! |
