     Patience has matured into a nice big yearling doe. She is wide throughout, and uphill. Her udder reminds me of her dam, Caesar's Villa P Faith quite a lot. Foreudder is smoothly blended, rear height and width and nice big plump teats. She could use a bit more strength in the medial ligament, but I think when she fills in to her true capacity, she will prove to have more strength there. Patience only had a single buckling as a first freshener and though he was a big boy and had a ravenous appetite, I feel he didn't draw enough on her to show her true potential. So we are eager to see her second freshening in 2011.
     Patience is bred to Remy for 2011. Remy is more refined and I would love to see that characteristic in Patience's kids. Remy's dam and aunt both have very large teats for Nigerians and we are looking forward to seeing if he gives those genes to his offspring too. Should be very productive kids in this crossing.

Patience's first freshening udder. She is nursing her single buckling. She has a very smoothly blended foreudder, height and width in the back even as a first freshener and reminds me a great deal of her dam, Caesar's Villa P Faith. She may have the foreudder blending but her sister has slightly better teat placement. I may be selling one or the other in the Spring of 2011 after they kid again. Depends on how many kids I am keeping and how many does I'm choosing to part with for space.
