This beautiful little black doe is Morelle (meaning Nightshade in French). She is a yearling first freshener (udder photos below) coming to us from Proctor Hill Farm in MA. I had been trying to work out getting her littermate brother but the deal fell through just as transport became available and then Morelle went up for sale. Who could refuse her with the pedigree she's packing and that gorgeous first freshening udder she has!?!?! Morelle is a correct uphill doe being very level over the top line, nice front end assembly and rear angulation. She's very dairy and has a very nice flat rump.
     Morelle is out of the gorgeous ARMCH Fairlea Fleur 3*D E92.2 1*M who was the 2005 ADGA National Best Udder! Fleur is a third generation champion and star milker. Her sire is Caesar's Villa BB Rebel Yell *S who's out of the stunning ARMCH Caesar's Villa STS Suthrn Bell 2*D who is the 2003 AGS National Reserve Champion Doe by MCH Caesar's Villa Brat In Barn who's out of the beautiful Bridget. So many beautiful animals behind her and udders that are extremely productive and well attached too!
     If all that wasn't enough, take a look at her first freshening udder below! Yes she's already following in her dam's hoof steps. She produced more milk than her twins could possibly nurse so she was milked to relieve it till the kids could catch up. I can't wait to see it with more capacity next year. I think she could be one heck of a doe to see then. I have been surprised that the black does in our own herd have been shockers, so we've added yet another in Morelle.
