Mini-Manchas are the result of crossing full sized LaManchas with
Nigerian Dwarfs to produce a smaller type LaMancha goat which should be
in between LaManchas and Nigerians in size. Nigerian Dwarfs are a
miniature dairy goat which typically produce up to a half gallon of milk
daily, this being the best lines. They can vary less than this as well.
LaManchas typically produce around a gallon or more milk a day. LaManchas can
vary as low as a little over a half gallon to up over two gallons. The
goal in our mini program is to produce miniature LaManchas who are in
between the size of LaManchas and Nigerians, but produce a good deal of
milk. Minis can be expected to produce around 3/4 to a gallon of milk a
day. Mini-Manchas eat less feed than full size LaManchas but yield more
milk than Nigerian Dwarfs. That is the purpose in breeding minis. To

A quick note about generations and the 'F1, F2 etc'
that you will see on this page and on the doe's and buck's pages. The
'F' refers to foundation. Foundation is the purebred LaMancha and
Nigerian parents. F1 kids are 1 generation from foundation or in other
words, 1 generation from purebred LaMancha and Nigerian parents. F1 & F2
generations are classified as Experimentals. F3 & F4 qualify for
American registration provided the goat meets breed standard. F6 or
higher qualify for Purebred registration if they have bred true through
the American generations and still conform to breed standard. More about
this on the about
minis page. We do also have LaMancha does who may on occasion
contribute to the mini program.
